Website redesign · Solar energy

Solarpro Energy

A 37-page redesign for a solar company that serves homes, businesses and industry. Animated scenes show how solar, battery and grid work together, and every page leads to two actions: calculate your solar needs or book a site assessment.

The brief

Solarpro Energy is a division of DLX Commercial and Industrial Solutions. Its old marketing pages needed replacing with a website that covers residential, business and commercial and industrial customers.

The brief: lead every page to two actions, Calculate my solar needs or Book a site assessment, and send every lead (quotes, assessment bookings, payment-plan enquiries, contractor registrations and careers enquiries) into the group's lead database.

What we decided

  1. Build on the approved Network concept

Navy and white, editorial serif headlines, a red accent and sun-yellow energy flows.

  2. Make the way in intent-led

Goal chips on the home page, such as backup power, send the visitor into the calculator with that goal already chosen.

  3. Show the energy, do not just describe it

Six technical scenes and a 24-hour scrubber let a visitor see solar, battery and grid working through a day.

  4. Keep the old addresses

Existing web addresses were kept, so links that people already have keep working.

  5. Claim nothing that cannot be traced

No invented testimonials, certifications, statistics, prices, warranties or response times. Every number on the site was listed and traced to a source.

Components

  • Live hero scene that opens at the visitor's own time of day
  • A 24-hour scrubber with a live chart of solar, load and battery charge, a grid-outage switch and Home, Business and Plant profiles
  • A small sun in the header edge that travels across as you scroll
  • Mobile quick bar with Call, WhatsApp and Quote

The panel at the top of this page shows each project's colours and motif. It is a summary of the design system, not a screenshot. See the live site for the real pages.

Highlights

  • Six technical scenes: a home, business or plant site with solar, battery and grid; a rooftop building with a roof-type switch (Klip-Lok, IBR or tiled); a ground-mounted plant; a car-park canopy; a greenfield plant delivering through the grid to three sites; and a micro-grid whose generator starts only when the battery runs low in an outage.
  • An animated start-up-surge curve that explains why pumps and fridges need more than their running watts.
  • Every number on screen is relative and marked illustration only. Animations run only while visible, pause with one button and stay still for visitors who prefer reduced motion.

Built to generate leads

  • Six lead types: quote, contact, site assessment, FlexPay interest, contractor registration and careers, plus a footer newsletter.
  • Consent is a required tick box. Marketing is a separate, optional, unticked box, and the version of the consent wording is stored with the lead.
  • If the database cannot be reached, the form offers a ready-made WhatsApp or email message.

Quality checks

  • Unique titles and descriptions, canonical links, social cards and structured data on every page.
  • Skip link, one H1 per page, labelled controls, keyboard-operable menus and 44 px touch targets for the scene controls.
  • All 37 pages checked at 1440, 820 and 390 px wide: no horizontal overflow, no script errors and no failed local requests.
